We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Systems Analyst to join our Core Banking Partenon and Gravity support team who are responsible for many of the bank’s key applications.

We are a diverse team of skilled analysts and developers looking for a skilled technical support analyst with extensive experience in dealing with complex high profile incident situations as well as delivering new end-to-end solutions.

The difference you’ll make:

  • Providing technical analysis
  • Provisioning Level-1 support for the numerous applications covered by the Core Banking team running on various platforms including IBM Mainframe, Linux, Oracle and Microfocus
  • Providing out of hours support contributing to the 7 x 24 support provided by our teams in supporting the bank
  • Analysing and reporting accurately, paying close attention to detail and reviewing quality via carrying out post implementation checks
  • Explaining problems and solutions to both technical and a non-technical audience
  • Being able to work on multiple items at once, prioritising with the aid of line management

What you’ll bring:

These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:

  • Extensive experience in IBM COBOL, JCL, and SQL
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven experience in Control-m and utilities
  • Data analysis skills
  • Proven experience in IT build development and support
  • The ability to handle significant Incidents in time critical situations

It would also be nice for you to have:

  • Experience of Oracle
  • Experience of Unix
  • Experience of Microfocus Tool Sets
  • Passion for delivering high quality solutions and being a great problem solver

What else you need to know:

This permanent role is based in Unity Place – Milton Keynes.

We want our people to thrive at work and home and be able to deliver the best outcomes for our customers and to help each other develop. To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).

If you apply for this role in this location, it’s important you consider your travelling distance, time and cost from your home to the office location.

1st Stage – 30/60 minute Technical Interview
