Based in Fredericton or Saint John, CBC New Brunswick is seeking a skilled, multi-platform storyteller to tell the stories of the province. We are looking for someone with the ability to work collaboratively in a newsroom, offering ideas and suggestions to enhance news coverage across all platforms.
This job is for you if you thrive under pressure, believe strongly in accountability journalism and have a proven track record of digging up information and telling original and visually compelling stories.

You have experience working on breaking news, producing original journalism and writing new content. You will be required to present information on air in a variety of formats and perform other production tasks. You will have a demonstrated ability to write clearly and concisely for both broadcast and text.

Key Tasks:
High-level knowledge of legal and ethical issues related to journalism.
Pitches original story ideas.
Gather information from various sources.
Arranges and conducts interviews.
Prepares items for television, radio and digital platforms.
Understands the key needs of shooting video.
Edits recorded items on appropriate/available editing systems.
Qualifications
You possess:
Graduation from University or Community College in a relevant course of study or equivalent industry experience.
Demonstrated professional experience using various news platforms, including digital, social, radio and television.
Ability to generate original story ideas and creative video content.
Knowledge of and connection to equity-deserving communities.
Commitment to including all equity-deserving groups in our storytelling.
Demonstrates the values of diversity and an inclusive and respectful work culture.
Comfortable and dynamic on-air presence.
Ability to thrive under deadline.
A natural interest and curiosity in current and emerging technologies.
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
Flexibility in hours, including evenings and on weekends, and ability to work unscheduled overtime.
Valid driver's license.
