Summary:
The VITA Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for the recruitment, training, placement, and retention of VITA volunteers. The VITA Volunteer Coordinator must be able to develop and implement a volunteer recruitment plan and assist and attend volunteer training to ensure volunteers receive the required training to obtain the IRS Certification. The coordinator will work with volunteer schedules and preferences for placement at VITA sites. Work with VITA Program Director to ensure volunteer coverage for a successful and smooth tax season. This position will require non-traditional hours and extended hours during tax training and tax seasons.
