We have an opening for a Systems Analyst to work in Infrastructure & Cloud Services team that’s responsible for managing the lifecycle of this diverse infrastructure across various data centers, including our Public and Private Cloud platforms.
The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert in several technical domains with a high proficiency in standard, converged & cloud computing platforms, storage deployment & operations, enterprise operating systems (Linux and Windows) with releavant overlapping experience in Network, Security & Database administration; among other related technical and organizational skills. This position will be based out of Toronto and will report to the Sr. Manager, Infrastructure Services in Rogers Information Technology organization.
ü Evaluate, deploy and manage various industry leading Compute and Storage systems on virtual, converged and cloud infrastructure platforms.
ü Plan capacity, deploy & operationalize the infrastructure for service continuity, growth and new project initiatives.
ü Build and operate IaaS & PaaS systems in Public and Private Cloud services (Oracle Cloud, Microsoft Azure, AWS and/or OpenStack)
ü Maintain systems integrity & security, mitigate risk and optimize system performance.
ü Translate business requirements into technical requirements, coordinate tasks and submit regular status updates to all clients.
ü Develop & maintain documentation of system inventory, designs, operating procedures and escalation matrix.
ü Identify, prioritize, resolve, document and communicate both technical and operational issues. Estimate resolution times.
ü Follow Incident, Problem, Change and Request management processes using Service Management tools in ITIL framework.
ü Create root-cause-analysis and implement recommendations.
ü Setup & maintain Monitoring & Alerting of system performance and report the SLA & KPI metrics to target audience.
ü Participate in a team-wide On-Call rotation to attend system & service outages; may require working on extended hours and/or weekends with smartphone or a Pager.
Qualifications, experience, skills & certifications:
ü Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent academic and/or work experience in related field.
ü Five or more years of hands-on experience in Server & Storage infrastructure deployment & operations in medium-to-large scale environments, including enterprise public cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud, AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
ü Seven or more years of hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 5.x or higher), CentOS, Oracle Linux is required. Relevant Red Hat Certifications (RHCE, RHCSA, etc.) are a plus.
ü Three of more years of experience in supporting Oracle database and Oracle WebLogic is required.
ü Three or more years of functional experience of supporting Microsoft Enterprise systems (Windows Server 2012 or higher, SQL Server 2008 or higher, IIS) is preferred.
ü Three or more years of hands-on experience in Server Virtualization & Cloud Computing using VMWare ESXi & Management tools (v 5.5 or greater). Multiple Hypervisor experience is a plus.
ü Five or more years of hands-on experience in various enterprise Storage systems and technologies over variety of protocols (SAN, NAS, NFS, CIFS, etc.). Hands-on experience with various OEM Storage technologies (HP, EMC, Dell and NetApp) is preferred. Must be comfortable in configuring, deploying and managing SAN switches. Certifications a plus.
ü Experience with various small-to-medium business grade Cisco/Juniper networking devices (Switches, Routers, Load-balancers & Firewalls) is a value add.
ü Must be fluent in current version of Microsoft Office tools for efficient business communication and Visio & Project for technical diagrams and project planning.
ü Self-directive ability to multitask and manage deliverables over shifting & competing priorities.
ü Highly motivated individual to quickly learn organizational dynamics and excel in service delivery aspects.
ü Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills.
