Precision Security Team is a veteran owned and operated company in the northern Colorado area. We service areas from Denver, CO to Cheyenne, WY. In operation since 2018, we have grown exponentially, being entrusted with many local government contracts, other critical sites, schools, patrol, events, etc. We pride ourselves with hiring veterans, previous law enforcement, and first responders. We are in search of a qualified professional to be an Armed Security Guard for the Denver metro area. The ideal candidate for this position would have experience in customer service, conflict intervention, and security or military service. Firearm experience is an imperative aspect of this position, so previous experience is required. As an Armed Security Guard with Precision Security Team, you will assist with all security-related concerns and other requests as needed to ensure a safe environment for the public at your assigned site. Every Security Guard at Precision Security Team owns the client's experience and their bottom line. It is of the utmost importance to uphold Precision Security Team’s professional image to the client, the public, and law enforcement at all times. It is imperative that you practice and demonstrate Precision Security Team’s core values and code of conduct everyday.


Your schedule would be 7:30 am-3:30 pm Monday through Friday. Please do not apply if this does not work with your availability.


Critical Roles of the Position:

  • Conducting Regular Patrols: Routinely monitor the entire site to maintain a visible security presence and deter potential threats.
  • Expertly De-escalating High-Stress Situations: Use effective communication and conflict resolution skills to calmly de-escalate tense or volatile situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of all parties involved.
  • Maintaining Constant Situational Awareness: Remain alert and attentive to the surrounding environment at all times, quickly identifying any unusual activities or potential risks.
  • Ensuring the Safety of all Persons on Site: Prioritize the security and well-being of the client, staff, and visitors, fostering a safe and welcoming atmosphere within the community.
  • Responding Swiftly and Appropriately to Emergencies: React promptly and appropriately to any incidents or emergencies that arise, following established protocols to manage the situation effectively.
  • Documenting and Reporting Incidents: Accurately record and report all incidents, disturbances, or safety concerns to the relevant authorities or client administration, ensuring clear communication and proper follow-up.

Precision Security Team or the client can assign other duties to you as necessary at any time.

Pay: This pay range is $29.00 - $31.00 hourly, based on experience. This is a W2 position. Employees who work 30 or more hours a week are eligible for health benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance. Colorado is an at-will employment stat.


Hiring Process: Our hiring process begins with a thorough review of resumes to identify candidates who align well with our company’s needs. If your resume stands out, you will receive a call for an initial phone screen. Following a successful phone screen, we will invite you to an in-person interview with the hiring manager and other relevant management team members. Should you advance past this stage, a job offer will be extended to you no less than 24 hours later. After the offer is accepted, we conduct a background check and proceed with online onboarding.


Assessments will be scored based on answering the question, and proper use of grammar and written communication. Please do not write "see resume" or "can be discussed during the interview" as your answer. We are looking for answers with specific examples and/or thorough, multiple sentence answers to the questions.


During the interview, we ask that you use the S.T.A.R. technique. The STAR technique is a structured method used to answer behavioral interview questions by clearly outlining a Situation, Task, Action, and Result. This approach helps candidates provide comprehensive and well-organized responses that showcase their skills and experiences effectively, and helps candidates provide answers that are coherent, concise, and impactful, making it easier for interviewers to assess their competencies and fit for the role.

Requirements

Requirements:

Your application will be automatically rejected if you are not 21 years of age or older, do not have a high school diploma or GED, and/or do not have previous firearm experience.

  • eligible to legally use a firearm
  • previous firearm experience
  • able to work the posted hours without modification
  • Veterans and prior LEOs are encouraged to apply

Physical Requirements:

  • able to train and become certified to use an approved firearm
  • ability to use/maintain/operate/manipulate firearm, handcuffs, and other issued gear
  • able to stand for up to eight hours at a time
  • able to pass company basic hand-to-hand course
  • able to walk up and down stairs frequently throughout your shift
  • able to lift at least 50 pounds unassisted
  • able to wear issued gear belt for the entire duration of your assigned shift
