Our Accounting team plays a crucial role in these efforts by delivering accurate financial reports to management, regulators, and policyholders. Reporting to the Supervisor Financial Reporting, you'll expand your technical reporting knowledge and accounting skills while collaborating with a high-performing team known for exceptional service.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
In this role, you can expect to:
- Prepare and review journal entries, financial statements, and regulatory filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements.
- Create financial reports and analyses to support management decision-making, including explaining material variances and discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate financial records using enterprise systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Perform account reconciliations and assist with auditor requests.
- Lead or assist with ad hoc financial reporting projects and research projects.
- Stay current with accounting standards, preparing memos and white papers to update management.
- Conduct trend analyses and research regulations to support financial operations.
The successful candidate must have:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or experience.
- Up to two years’ experience or equivalent education, training, or experience.
- Experience in Excel.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, methods, and theories and the ability to apply such knowledge in practical applications.
It would be great to also have:
- Progress towards CPA and/or MBA.
- Insurance industry experience.
- Experience using Workday Financials.
Texas Mutual Pay Transparency
The base pay range is based on the market evaluation of the job and may include pay for multiple levels. Individual base pay within the range is determined by a variety of factors, including experience, performance, education, and demonstration of skills and competencies required for each role. Your recruiter can discuss the full value of our total compensation package with you, including our generous bonus plans and flex-hybrid work model.
Base Pay Range: $28.98 - $35.79 Per Hour
Flex-Hybrid Work Environment:
Texas Mutual’s flex-hybrid schedule allows you to bring your best self to work by working remotely and collaborating in the office based on business needs. All Texas Mutual employees are required to have Texas residency and travel to their designated office as needed.
