Position Summary
To provide bookkeeping services for a range of clients.
Key Responsibilities
Client relationship management
Tasks KPIs
Primary contact for your clients
Communicate proactively with clients to understand their
needs
Articulate the value of our services to clients
Monitor level of service to ensure it meets clients’ expectations
24 hour turnaround on emails and calls
Minimum 95% client satisfaction recorded by feedback
surveys
Bookkeeping and compliance
Tasks KPIs
Review work assigned to other bookkeepers
Support Director and Managers
Interview clients
Keep up to date with weekly payroll documents and ensure
that all other statutory requirements
Completing the BAS reconciliation and all other required
related taxation obligations
Conducting software setups, conversions and training
Conducting the required accounts payable, accounts
receivable and debtor management as required
Prepare and review other compliance returns
Monitor ATO payments for clients
Prepare monthly management accounts and attend client
meetings
Troubleshoot cashbook issues for clients
Minimal review points on each file
Jobs turned around within agreed time frames
24 hour turnaround on emails and calls
Proposals sent within 48 hours of meeting / discussion

Understand firm’s workflow expectations

Manage WIP budgets and turnaround time proactively
Deal with client challenges and roadblocks in a timely
manner
Monitor accuracy of work completed
Achieve lodgement due dates
Ensure sufficient workflow
Maximum of 10 jobs open at one time
Budgets are agreed and met with 10% write-off
Jobs turned around within 4-6 weeks
Individual KPIs achieved
Minimal peer review comments on each job
95% filed by on time
Workpapers used on all jobs
Service and business development

Identify opportunities for additional services
Sell and deliver additional services
Ask for referrals
Engage in ongoing professional development
Minimum of 20 hours of CPD per annum

Train and delegate to the Assistant Bookkeeper
Communicate expectations and job requirements clearly
(scope of work, fees, turnaround time)
Provide feedback on work in progress
Provide feedback on quality of work completed
Work completed within budget and on time
WIP targets met.
Peer review checklist completed on all delegated jobs
Qualifications, Experience, and Competencies
Qualifications and
experience Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or above
Proven experience with Xero / MYOB / QuickBooks
A sound understanding of current legislation and ATO requirements
