Financial Accountant

Job Description

Equifind are working with a highly regarded financial services business based in the City who are looking to add a Financial Accountant to the team.

With a strong track record of growth in recent years they are now diversifying operations into the tech industry through multiple acquisitions in the Fintech space. You will be joining a lean and nimble operation team where you will report into the FC and manage one accounts assistant.

Duties will include:

1. Prepare statutory accounts.


2. Financial reporting and consolidation.


3. Month end close, journals, balance sheet.


4. Tax, compliance shedules, corporate tax returns.


5. Assist in monitoring annual budgets and forecasts, providing insights and analysis to support decision-making.


6. Conduct variance analysis against budgets and forecasts, identifying key drivers and areas for improvement.


7. Collaborate with internal stakeholders across various departments to provide financial expertise and support business objectives.


8. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts, including P&Ls, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.


9. Manage internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and addressing audit findings in a timely manner.


10. Coordinate and execute ad-hoc financial projects and tasks, including data analysis, report generation and process re-design.

Application Criteria:

• ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA qualified


• Financial services experience, or a strong desire to enter financial services


• A sound knowledge of technical accounting standards

Compensation:

• £60,000-£60,000 base salary


• Annual performance related bonus up to 20%


• Employer pension contribution of 5%


• 4 days in office per week
