Overview






CommIT has an immediate opening for an experienced Program Financial Analyst within the US Government contracting industry. This position is located in Stafford, VA with generous teleworking opportunities. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the CommIT Corporate staff conducting a broad array of corporate and project finance and accounting duties. The ideal candidate is responsible for providing high quality financial analysis of Government account revenue projections, operating expenses, and project results. Particular focus is on supporting budgeting, forecasting and internal management support. The ideal candidate shall also possess strong accounting and analytical skills with various contract types (Cost Plus, T&M, and FFP).

Responsibilities






Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to-

  • Acts as a key revenue and cost expert on financial analysis issues.
  • Develops and manages program and project budgets consisting of labor, travel, and other direct charges (ODCs) with associate indirect charges.
  • Assesses contract cost and financial reporting requirements for the proper setup in accounting system
  • Coordinates and resolves financial compliances with project and program managers.
  • Monitors and reports project financial performance to project managers to ensure contractual cost objectives are met.
  • Ensures task order setup accurately reflect the correct labor hours and rates to include subcontractor costs and other direct costs (ODCs).
  • Development and assessment of accounting system products such as Project Status Report (PSR), Project Cost Reports (PCRs), Job Cost Ledgers (JCLs)
  • Support periodic corporate and budget and cost review and audits utilizing Income Statements (IS), Balance Sheets (BS), among other products
  • Interfaces with Corporate staff and executive management for financial data requests.
  • Performs other financial reporting, such as audit support, program financial review support as required by management.








Qualifications






Skills:

  • Proficient with DCAA accounting compliances.
  • Experience with cost reimbursable accounting systems (PROCAS preferred) cost compliances.
  • Understanding of corporate and contract accounting and fiscal control strategies.
  • Ability to create data visualizations for CPXX, T&M, and FFP project reporting purposes.
  • Demonstrated financial skills for decision support.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Education and Certifications:

  • Total of 5-7 years of experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in government contract cost or financial management and support.
  • BS/BA in accounting (preferred) or finance from an accredited educational institute.
  • Ability to maintain a Secret clearance.
