Qualifications

 

Business Intelligence Programming Analyst I

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, MIS/IT/Computer Science is preferred or collective experience, training, and education.
  • 0-2 years of experience in report design/development and healthcare data analytics environment.
  • Detailed problem solving, creative thinking, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Entry level knowledge with a variety of systems (e.g., MS Office, Tableau, SAS, SQL Server and/or other platforms and technologies). 
  • Familiarity with system analysis, design, development, quality assurance, and integration methodologies.
  • Understanding of relational databases/concepts and query tools.
  • PROC SQL writing skills with the ability to understand and document business workflow and data flow processes.
  • Healthcare background is a plus.

Business Intelligence Programming Analyst II

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, MIS/IT/Computer Science is preferred or collective experience, training, and education.
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience with data mapping/sources, report design/development and healthcare data analytics environment.
  • Detailed problem solving, creative thinking, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding and working with a variety of systems (e.g., MS Office, Tableau, SAS, SharePoint, SQL Server and/or other platforms and technologies). 
  • Solid knowledge with system analysis, design, development, quality assurance, and integration methodologies, relational databases/concepts, and query tools.
  • PROC SQL writing skills with the ability to understand and document business workflow and data flow processes.
  • Healthcare background is a plus.

Sr. Business Intelligence Programming Analyst

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, MIS/IT/Computer Science is preferred or collective experience, training, and education, or 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong understanding and familiarity with SAS, SQL server, Office, and other components of Microsoft technology.
  • Solid knowledge with system analysis, design, development, quality assurance, and integration methodologies, relational databases/concepts, and query tools, PROC SQL writing skills with the ability to understand and document business workflow and data flow processes.
  • Working with minimal direction, initiate projects, and demonstrate significant flexibility to coordinate activities that are often subject to rapid or extensive changes or revisions.
  • Detail oriented, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Healthcare background preferred.

Lead Business Intelligence Programming Analyst

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, MIS/IT/Computer Science is preferred or collective experience, training, and education, or 10+ years of relevant work experience with programming, data mapping/sources, report design/development and healthcare data analytics environment.
  • Extensive experience with claims data, clinical outcomes data, clinical quality measures [HEDIS], Case Management, Utilization Management data.
  • Comprehensive understanding and working with a variety of systems (e.g., MS Office, Tableau, SAS, SharePoint, SQL Server and/or other platforms and technologies). 
  • Solid knowledge with system analysis, design, development, quality assurance, and integration methodologies, relational databases/concepts, and query tools, PROC SQL writing skills with the ability to understand and document business workflow and data flow processes.
  • Working with minimal direction, initiate projects, and demonstrate significant flexibility to coordinate complex activities that are often subject to rapid or extensive changes or revisions.
  • Extremely detail oriented.  Ability to lead conceptualization, development, research new or existing BI tools, and execution of new or existing data sources, dive deep into the data.
  • Healthcare background preferred.

The Business Intelligence Programmer Analyst is responsible for transforming business requirements into BI technical solutions that efficiently enable analytics capabilities to be deployed in support of business and strategic objectives of the enterprise.  This role must provide subject matter leadership and expertise on the technical solution of a BI project to support analytic deliverables and capabilities.  The Sr. BI Programmer Analyst will have heavy interaction with our Business Analysts to ensure all requirements are covered and thoroughly documented

Responsibilities

Business Intelligence Programming Analyst I

Performs entry level design, build, maintenance, analytic capabilities, and processes that allow internal and external customers to improve on the quality and cost of health care.  These activities include but not limited to understanding and retaining knowledge of corporate data sources; working collaboratively with Business and Quality Analysts to create innovative technical solutions ensuring successful deployment of customer analytic capabilities and information needs are met. Partakes in team review of requirements and design documentation processes to understand and retain knowledge of data sources, programming techniques, test strategies, and test plans.

Business Intelligence Programming Analyst II

Independently transforms business requirements into BI technical solutions that efficiently enable analytics capabilities to be deployed in support of business and strategic objectives.  These activities include but not limited to knowledge of corporate data sources; working collaboratively with Business and Quality Analysts to create innovative technical solutions; provide technical advice; and create necessary design documentation for deliverable capabilities. Partakes in team review of requirements and design documentation processes to gain solid knowledge of data sources, programming techniques, test strategies, and action/test plans.

Sr. Business Intelligence Programming Analyst

Exclusively converts business requirements into BI technical solutions that efficiently enable analytics capabilities to be deployed in support of business and strategic objectives.  These activities include but not limited to subject matter expert knowledge of corporate data sources; working collaboratively with Business and Quality Analysts to create innovative technical solutions; provide technical advice; and create necessary design and produce documentation for deliverable capabilities. Partakes and highly contributes to team review of requirements and design documentation processes.

Lead Business Intelligence Programming Analyst

The Lead Business Intelligence Programmer’s role will drive collaboration and strategic thinking aiming to avoid problems when delivering business intelligence and visual solutions ensuring data results and business requirements are met. Works with other lead analysts to rollout strategic priorities and cross-functional work plans.  Manages multiple projects with competing deadlines and works with team and leadership to prioritize deliverables. Establishes and evolves formal data interpretation/programming resources and processes with team members. Act as a key point of contact for all development aspects providing and coordinating project resources.  Provides coaching and mentoring to junior and senior Business Intelligence Programmers including facilitating knowledge transfer and advance staff development.
