Role Overview

We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support the implementation of Smile Digital Health’s FHIR-based clinical data solutions by analyzing business processes, identifying gaps, and ensuring seamless integration with customer requirements. This role involves conducting process redesign, producing high-quality documentation, facilitating client meetings, and managing work packages of varying complexity. The analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive change management, optimize business processes, and translate customer needs into effective technology solutions. Strong analytical skills, experience in business modeling, and familiarity with Agile methodologies are essential, with healthcare industry experience preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather process redesign and gap analysis for both front end solutions and integrations with Smile Digital Health’s FHIR-based clinical data repository.
  • Link customer requirements to project objectives and priorities.
  • Produce documentation to a high standard, including high quality reports and presentations.
  • Assist in the facilitation of team and client meetings.
  • Own and deliver work packages of moderate to large size and complexity.
  • Collaborate and communicate with colleagues at all levels and departments to build and maintain strong relationships and ensure smooth transition of solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Understands how various issues affect each other and the outcome of projects and improves upon existing approaches by seeking opportunities to creatively transform current industry practices into fresh alternative solutions.
  • Apply change management techniques within a complex environment to identify and facilitate positive change.
  • Understand capabilities of Smile Digital Health’s products and services and how they can deliver value to our customers.
  • Collaborate with product leads and designers to deliver the best possible solutions for our customers.
  • Accountable for ensuring that all working hours are accurately reported in NetSuite on a daily or weekly basis, that the majority of (if not all) hours are tracked as billable and that the project management tool in NetSuite is properly and fully utilized.  
  • Tracking and reporting of billable hours is a critical aspect of project management and delivery to our customers and this is a major area of accountability for a Project Manager.
  • Identify and communicate customers’ requirements to colleagues.

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis and integration work.
  • Experience in leading and conducting business analysis in order to assess business problems/ opportunities.
  • Experience in documenting business requirements in such a way that technology solutions can be determined.
  • Knowledge of business modeling techniques/tools.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: development of internet/intranet business strategies, business process re-engineering, business case development and cost-benefit analysis.
  • Experience in structured methodologies for the identification of users-requirements and the development of specifications.
  • Awareness of emerging IT trends and technologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, waterfall, and iterative methodologies is preferred.
  • Previous experience in the use of information retrieval packages is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
