The CAD/E911 GIS Analyst performs technical and administrative duties related to the design, maintenance, enhancement, and support of all Columbia Richland Communications Center 911 needs, including, but not limited to GIS datasets, AVL integration, Computer Aided Dispatch and other spatial components of 911 operations.
This position is cross-trained to perform the duties of the E911 Network Manager and may perform these duties whenever the E911 Network Manager is absent or the position becomes temporarily vacant.
Regularly interacts with CRCC department heads and personnel, Richland County IT/GIS, Richland County EMS, Richland County Sheriff's Department, City of Columbia Police, and City of Columbia Fire and Rescue. Regularly interacts with outside consultants and vendors.
Reports to the E911 Network Manager.
A Bachelor’s degree is preferred in geography, computer science, engineering, or another field related to this position. However, an Associate's degree may be accepted with sufficient additional practical experience.
Must be able to supply written proof of completion for all coursework and/or degrees used to satisfy the minimum education requirements.
GISP Certification is desired but not required. Must be able to pass a technical exam relevant to this job administered by the Richland County Information Technology Department.
Compensation Minimum: $56,697.75
