Braun Intertec’s is seeking a Chemist to join our Concrete Science group and work alongside our Petrographic laboratory.  This position is located in Bloomington MN. 

Responsibilities:

  • Experience with wet chemistry techniques, XRF, XRD, TGA, FTIR. 
  • Train and Mentor Technicians and Professionals on chemical analysis
  • Maintain quality standards in laboratory analysis.
  • Coordinate and manage various type of samples.
  • Prepare proposals for testing and consulting projects
  • Act as the primary author of deliverables for projects or research
  • Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project success
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and safety regulations
  • Travel up to 15% of time

Required Skills:

  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to Braun’s company standards
  • Ability to conduct laboratory work.
  • Possess technical aptitude to solve technical issues where solutions are undefined in typical practice
  • Able to interact with clients to help maintain project schedules and deliverables.
  • Ability to work within a strong team environment under a matrix organizational style
  • Self-motivated to learn new skills
  • Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry
  • 5 to 7 years of experience with laboratory chemistry techniques.
  • Basic understanding of concrete properties and testing methods.
  • Proficient in excel and word,
  • A valid driver’s license.
