Cotti Foods began in 1967 with the purchase of one Taco Bell restaurant in Southern California. Since then, Cotti Foods has grown with the addition of Wendy's in 2014 and Pieology in 2015. The company currently operates over 200 restaurants across 6 states.  

Construction Project Manager 

We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our development team as a Construction Project Manager. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the construction process for the company's development projects. This role will involve coordinating with various stakeholders, ensuring timely project completion, and maintaining adherence to budgets and timelines.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Pre-Construction:
    • Collaborate with vendors, architects, and engineers to establish project design and obtain necessary permits.
  1. Perform site survey with consultants present as needed and provide survey report.
    • Prepare bid packages and oversee the bidding process.
    • Conduct due diligence and coordinate insurance and utility services.
    • Manage the submittal of plans to government agencies for approval.
  • Construction Management:
    • Oversee the construction process, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
    • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
    • Monitor progress, identify issues, and implement solutions.
  • Post-Construction:
    • Coordinate final inspections and approvals.
    • Ensure project handover and closeout procedures are completed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on development or construction. Experience in restaurant development is preferred.
  • Education: High school diploma; bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and construction documentation (i.e.. Read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as blueprints.)
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. Strong leadership and teamwork abilities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Note: While there are no direct supervisory responsibilities listed in this job description, the Project Manager will often need to lead and coordinate teams of contractors, subcontractors, and consultants.
