Job Purpose

As the Manager of Corporate Communications, you will take a leadership role within the BWH Hotels internal communications function, developing and executing communication strategies for companywide initiatives across our 18 brands and more than 4,000 hotels worldwide. Based in Phoenix, you will report to the Senior Director of Corporate Communications.

Working alongside the Senior Director of Corporate Communications, this position requires significant collaboration to tailor and deliver effective messages. We seek a creative storyteller with a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating compelling narratives. Ideal candidates bring at least five years of experience in internal and external communications, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Content Creation

  • Serves as editor-in-chief of our hotelier-facing weekly BW News Now newsletter. Responsible for writing and distributing, working cross-functionally to draft content, and ensuring content is engaging and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Creates best-in-class communications campaigns to advance the strategic initiatives of our leadership team, including video scripts, change management communications and more.
  • Drafts various communications, ensuring consistent messaging and brand voice across internal communication vehicles.
  • Manages internal communications workflow, including stakeholder approvals, preparing email campaigns and overseeing distribution lists.
  • Supports executive LinkedIn strategy, including the development and execution of an annual cadence of content.

Internal Support and Strategy

  • Works with the Senior Director of Communications to develop and manage BWH Hotels editorial calendar, aligning organizational priorities and ensuring timely delivery of brand and corporate initiatives.
  • Works collaboratively with departments to raise awareness about key brand initiatives among hoteliers and corporate employees.
  • Participates on the Crisis Communications Response Team, delivering timely, clear communication to protect brand and hotel reputations during crises.

Project Management

  • Partners with stakeholders to identify communication needs, develop project plans, establish deadlines and monitor progress on various initiatives.
  • Manages multiple internal communications projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope and advance business goals.
  • Regularly reports on project outcomes, identifying efficiencies in internal communications practices and adopting new tools and technologies as needed.
  • Stays current on the latest communications trends and best practices, identifying opportunities for innovation and creative storytelling.

Experience/Education

  • 5+ years of experience in Corporate Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or Marketing.
  • A self-starter with the proven ability to lead multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Demonstrates exceptional writing, editing and strategic communication skills, with experience crafting compelling narratives across platforms.
  • Experience in handling complex, confidential projects with professionalism.
  • BA/BS bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or a related field.

Other Requirements

  • You must reside in AZ and be able to work out of our headquarters office three days per week. HQ is located at 6201 North 24th Parkway, Phoenix, AZ 85016.
  • This position does not provide relocation assistance.
