Corporate Associate – 3- 5 years PQE - London
Brief
We are currently looking to recruit a talented corporate lawyer to join the London Corporate team, ideally a candidate with 3-5 years PQE experience in M&A (public or private) and general corporate governance advisory work across a range of sectors. Sector experience or experience in equity capital markets deals or private equity deals is helpful but not essential.
The Team
Capable of handling high-value, cross-border transactions, Pinsent Masons LLP is regularly instructed by an impressive roster of clients covering a wide range of sectors. Edward Stead heads the national corporate practice and is supported by 16 partners and legal directors in the London team, with specialists in M&A, corporate finance, private equity, equity capital markets and corporate governance.
The Firm is committed to a major programme of lateral hire investment that will enhance its brand in the City and ensure its Corporate practice is capable of winning an increased share of high value deals. This City Initiative has very strong backing from the Board of Pinsent Masons LLP and the Corporate team has ambitious plans for growth. Within the last 12 months, the London team has completed the lateral hires of Jonathan Woolf, Jon Blackburn and Peter McCusker.
The London team has a proven track record working with global businesses on strategic corporate transactions advising both public and private businesses on: private and public company share and asset sales and purchases; IPOs and listings; fundraisings; strategic investments and partnerships; joint ventures; management buy-outs and buy-ins; restructurings; private equity transactions and sponsor exits and board advisory and corporate governance.
Our sector-specific and regulatory expertise across a number of industry verticals such as financial services, energy, infrastructure, real estate, technology, life sciences, healthcare, diversified industrials, retail & consumer and sport, means that we regularly deliver complex, cross-sector projects.

The Candidate Required
The successful candidate will ideally have gained experience in a City firm or a large regional practice. Candidates must be technically excellent but equally important, commercially aware and enthusiastic about business development. They will be a team player with a strong client focussed approach. They will also have a strong academic background and excellent communication and organisational skills.
