CQP - Counter Sales Representative

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Store Manager, the Counter Sales Representative is responsible for interacting with retail & wholesale auto parts customers to identify their needs, have excellent selling skills, and strengthen the overall relationship between Carquest Pacific LLC and the customer.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Takes orders from customers over the phone and in person. Customer orders should be processed with a high degree of accuracy
2. Uses the Exploris computer system for invoicing and catalog lookup of auto parts
3. Actively logs all lost sales in the Exploris system.
4. Assists in processing Weblink electronic orders
5. Maintains strong product knowledge of auto parts, warranties, promotions, and sales programs
6. Operates, at all times, within company guidelines, policies, and procedures
7. Stocks inventory and assists in housekeeping of the store and property.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

1. High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
2. At least two (2) years of experience with automotive parts required.
3. Excellent communication skills and proper business etiquette required.
4. A good working knowledge of aftermarket parts transactional system required.
5. Must be dependable and punctual.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

1. Walking: Moves about on foot often up and down stairs
2. Handling: Seizes, helps, or works with hands
3. Lifting: Raises or lowers miscellaneous automotive parts, tools, and batteries
4. Reaching: Extends hands and arms in any direction
5. Stooping: Bends body downward and forward by bending at knees or waist
6. Standing: Remains in standing position if required to perform various functions of the job
7. Vision: Reads paperwork and records on the computer
8. Talking: Communicates by phone and in person
9. Lifting: Up to 60 lbs. daily, frequent exertion.

ENVIRONMENTAL:         

1. Noise: Works in conditions with constant or intermittent noise
2. Temp/Weather: Works in an office environment with occasional shop requirements.
