Job Summary:
Responsible for designing, implementing and coordinating a system-wide comprehensive donor relations and system events program that consistently promotes interaction with, and recognition of, donors, volunteers, community members and leadership team. Responsible for oversight of stewardship event fundraising activities.
Job Duties:
- Plans, implements and coordinates the system-wide events program, including but not limited to, community engagement, system-wide celebrations, fundraising events and community volunteer event committees.
- Create and manage event budgets for all events ensuring fundraising events meet targeted cost-to-raise a dollar and cultivation and stewardship and community events stay within budget.
- Create sponsorships for fundraising events, identify and solicit perspective donors to secure sponsorships and participation for fundraising events to ensure successful event returns.
- Manage a portfolio of perspective event sponsors and donors identifying appropriate funding strategy for each.
- Plans, implements and coordinates the executive leadership meetings, retreats, symposiums as required by the Executive Office.
- Collaborates with Chief Executive Officer, Chief Philanthropy Officer and Vice President of Philanthropy to develop and review strategies for engaging top donors in events.
- Supervises system event staff activities to structure a comprehensive, efficient and effective team of event professionals.
- Establishes and manages information tracking processes regarding acknowledgement, recognition, on-going communications and upcoming donor engagements and events.
- Collaborate with Foundation staff in donor receipting and acknowledgement, stewardship opportunities including event invitations, developing appropriate invitation lists, engaging featured program participants, and program creation.
- Directs changes in event work scope and ensure appropriate planning measures are taken with internal and external vendors to reassess, renegotiate and amend scope of work responsibilities, proposals, budgets, etc.
- Develops and implements yearly growth plans for all system and auxiliary events, including corporate sponsorship opportunities.
- Interacts with key leadership to build donor relationships through events.
- Collaborates with Marketing and Communications to be certain that leadership and donors are appropriately recognized at events.
- This could include talking points, seating arrangements, assigning staff to key donors and leadership during institutional events and appropriate follow-up.
Work is typically performed in an office or remote environment. Travel may be required.
