Responsibilities:
- Our preschool special education teachers provide instructional services with the necessary educational expertise in reading, mathematics, writing, and related areas; diagnose learning skill deficits and deliver prescribed instructional delivery methods as determined by the company; consults with school personnel to coordinate efforts in providing services to students; communicates and meets with parents providing information on student progress.
- Attends training sessions, passes content assessment, and delivers designated instructional models and strategies in readiness, reading, mathematics, and/or writing skills to eligible students through utilization of company-designed materials and educational strategies.
- Develops and maintains individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans.
- Ensures supervision of students at all times, including escorting students safely to and from classroom.
- Establishes and maintains student forms and files as required by company, local, state, and/or federal agencies.
- Attends and documents conferences/meetings/trainings with supervisors, classroom teachers, administrators, and parents as required by the company, local, state, and/or federal agencies.
- Manages each students classroom schedule and makes modifications if needed on a daily basis.
- Maintains inventory of educational materials and supplies.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Conducts required annual student testing, including DRDPs, and reports on results.
- Attends IEP meetings to address student progress, goals and placement.

- Must have an understanding of child development, that each child learns differently.
- Must have positive, high energy, and enthusiastic attitude
- Must be flexible
- Collaboration with team members (OT, PT, ST and BCBA)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred
- Must understand the importance of collaboration

Qualification required:
- Bachelors / Master’s degree
- Active Special Education Teacher Credential for the state of California
- Minimum one-year teaching experience
- Experience teaching preschoolers
- Experience teaching children with autism
Compensation: $52,000 - 68,500 Annual Salary
