Description


The Facilities Maintenance Technician I will maintain and repair physical structures, building finishing’s, and clean and maintains grounds. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is frequently exposed to moving mechanical equipment and tools. The associate is occasionally exposed to outside weather, including wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. 

  • Receive written work orders or verbal instructions from supervisor
  • Assist with furniture moves and installation
  • Changes light bulbs & ballast
  • Perform minor plumbing tasks such as opening, clogged drains & repairing, minor leaks
  • Perform touch-up painting and repainting rooms
  • Snow removal
  • Removes weeds and brush
  • Perform miscellaneous unskilled landscape work
  • Assist with installation and repairing of equipment and fixtures
  • Perform interior and exterior cleaning
  • Performs minor repairs e.g., replace ceiling tiles, install cove base, hang shelves, repair VCT
  • Performs preventative maintenance on emergency equipment
  • Changes filters
  • Drive Company vehicles for miscellaneous tasks e.g., snow removal, material pick up, etc
  • All other duties as assigned

While performing the duties of this Job, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, fingers, handle, feel, or reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate is frequently required to climb or balance, talk or hear. The associate is occasionally required to sit. The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distanced vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.


Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Up to one year of related experience and/or training.
  • Valid Driver’s license.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of CMMS software and Microsoft Office Applications.

Salary Description

$18 - $22/hr
