POSITION SUMMARY

Leads and directs the effort to penetrate & develop key food service customer contacts and relationships, resulting in successful achievement of the Company's strategic sales goals & objectives.


Location

Candidates residing on West Coast.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS


  • Retain and expand the assigned area food service customer base

  • Monitor progress through sales reports, recommend adjustments and implement strategies to achieve the company’s goals.

  • Responsible for brokers within assigned territory; providing support to enable them to achieve the company’s sales goals and planned strategies

  • Travel to and attend local and national trade shows

  • Other duties as assigned


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing or Business or related major or at least 4 years’ related experience

  • Ten years related sales experience


License/Certifications



  • N/A


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA’s)


  • Possess product and industry knowledge and serve as a technical resource

  • Experience in direct sales management and key account management

  • Experience in the management of Food Brokers

  • Knowledge of and key account contacts in the food service trade channel

  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • The ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, meet deadlines, present a professional demeanor and work well independently


ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS


  • Able to travel up to 75% of the time, including overnight stays for up to 5 days at a time


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Usual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office machinery. Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices such as the telephone
