General Summary


The Department of Finance is seeking a detail-oriented Grants Accounting Systems Analyst to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for utilizing Oracle Cloud to manage various aspects of our grants accounting processes, including creating projects and awards, detail reviewing requests for project and award setup in the general ledger, uploading labor schedules for project payroll, performing project payroll reclasses, running the Grants Accounts Receivable Process in Oracle, and other system related projects as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, finance, or technology related field, with specific experience in grants management and Oracle Cloud systems.



Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain projects and awards in Oracle Cloud, ensuring accurate setup and configuration.
  • Update project and award information as requested to reflect changes in funding, scope, or requirements.
  • Perform a detailed review of the requests for project and award segments to be added to the General Ledger. Design and configure account segments in Oracle Cloud to accurately reflect the organization's financial structure.
  • Upload labor schedules for project payroll in Oracle Cloud, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll data.
  • Coordinate with HR and General Accounting to gather necessary labor schedule information.
  • Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to labor schedule uploads.
  • Perform project payroll reclasses in Oracle Cloud to correct any misallocations or errors in payroll charges.
  • Run the Grants Accounts Receivable Process in Oracle
  •  Assist with testing of new Oracle functionality related to the Projects and Grants Module as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a technology related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in grants accounting or financial management, preferably within a municipality, nonprofit, or academic setting.
  • Experience in Oracle Cloud or other financial management software or ERP Systems, with hands-on experience in project and award management.
