Hospitality and Event Coordinator

The Hospitality and Event Coordinator works closely with the Hospitality Director in all departments, including Events, the Social Club, the Tasting Room, and the Outlet. The main focus of coordination is on Events and the Social Club, with the ability to flex to other departments as needed. As a key member of the Hospitality Team, the person in this role will be expected to represent McEvoy Ranch’s high standard of excellence while engaging with the public on the phone, in person, or digitally.  

Inspired by a love of the land and renegade thinking, our family-owned 550-acre sprawling ranch has fewer than 15% planted to olives and grapes to maintain a healthy balance with our natural surroundings. Our unique vineyard location in the Petaluma Gap is conducive to cultivating Pinot Noir, Syrah, Montepulciano, Grenache, and Viognier grapes for our limited production wines. Our award-winning certified organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil is the result of a mindful and passionate dedication to excellence, from orchard to bottle. Our ODE beauty collection offerings are infused with vitamin-rich plant extracts and botanicals inspired by the natural elements on site. They also bear the cruelty-free Leaping Bunny Standard given by the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics (CCIC). We craft our own culinary products that can be found in our Tasting Room, the San Francisco Ferry Building Store, and in limited retailers. RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

• Act as administrative coordinator for the Hospitality Department.
• Support the hospitality business with a primary focus on the successful planning and execution of McEvoy Ranch Events.
• Support the Social Club in all aspects of member benefits, issues, correspondence, events, shipping, and other duties as assigned.
• Assist the Hospitality Director and be able to fill in for the Tasting Room, Outlet, and Social Club, as needed.
• Be willing and eager to be an ambassador for McEvoy Ranch, representing the company when interacting with customers and the public.
• Working with the Hospitality Director, ensure all sales goals are met according to the department's objectives, goals, strategies, and tactics.
• Provide excellent guest engagement.
• Follow all processes and procedures for the Hospitality Department and create new processes and protocols as needed.
• Proactively control expenses and track Event and Social Club budgets with monthly reviews and a precise tracking system that accounts for all costs.
• Partner with Tasting Room Manager to ensure event staff schedules for events.
• Execution: Plan, process, communicate, and execute all public, partnership, and offsite events (including weekends).
• QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  
•  5 years in Events, Club Membership, Customer Service, or Hospitality. 
•   A passion for operations and sales in a hospitality and retail environment
• An energetic, enthusiastic, disciplined, hard-working individual
• Ability to work both autonomously for extended periods of time and as part of a team
• Extremely detail-oriented and skilled in prioritizing projects & time
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Outlook.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
• Exceptional communication, both written and verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with nights and weekends as needed.
•  High School Diploma, Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

Salary:  $25 to $27 per hour with eligibility for tips from public events
