Venture General Contracting is a Seattle-based general contractor with a diverse portfolio of projects across the Puget Sound region. We specialize in providing construction services for commercial and multi-family residential projects.
We are seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our team. This full-time, on-site position offers a dynamic mix of office-based work and opportunities to visit job sites. Reporting to the CFO, this role is central to building and maintaining our strong organizational culture, as well as managing the HR functions detailed below.
This is a salaried, exempt position. Compensation range for this position is $110,000 to $130,000.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and interviewing to onboarding candidates at all levels. Develop and execute innovative talent acquisition strategies, leveraging events and partnerships to build a robust talent pipeline.
Manage the annual performance review process, including providing training and coaching to managers and employees to ensure consistent, constructive, and goal-oriented feedback.
Oversee and manage all aspects of benefits administration, including annual enrollment, life events, billing, employee communications, and overall employee support.
Manage all leaves of absence, FMLA, and workersβ compensation, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
Manage employee relations, including conducting investigations, providing recommendations, and maintaining detailed documentation.
Collaborate with managers to design and deliver training programs on management, supervisory skills, compliance, and employee engagement, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and enhancing leadership effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations. Proactively monitor and adapt policies and practices in response to legal changes.
Manage and complete annual compliance reporting, including EEOC filings, ACA 1095-C, and other required reports.
Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to foster a culture of respect, belonging, and collaboration. Partner with community organizations to promote engagement and broaden outreach efforts.

Education and Experience:
Bachelorβs degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field required.
PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
8+ years of experience in human resources required.
Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail required.
Proven ability to interact and perform all job responsibilities with professionalism and confidentiality.
Proven understanding of general human resources policies and procedures required.
