Job Title: HR Manager/Payroll, Human Resources

Reports to: Director, Human Resources

Location: In-Office, LIC, NY (11106)

Role Overview:
The HR Manager oversees human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and employee relations. This role ensures a compliant, engaged, and efficient workforce across Kommissary’s locations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, and training processes.
  • Oversee payroll processing to ensure accuracy and timely payments.
  • Develop and enforce HR policies in alignment with legal and organizational standards.
  • Address employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and performance reviews.
  • Maintain HR records and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Support additional projects and perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 4+ years of HR management experience.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and HRIS systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Physical Demands: Generally, presents standard office environment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position >95% of the time. Continually operates a computer, keyboard and mouse, and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, printer, and mobile Smartphone device. May occasionally be required to move about in an office setting or position office equipment weighing between 10-25 pounds. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. The person in this position frequently communicates with other people. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
