Job Summary

We’re looking for a Human Resources Assistant to join our team! This role provides a wide range of support within the HR department—from coordinating meetings and maintaining employee records to posting job ads and assisting with payroll. You’ll be a vital link between HR and employees, helping ensure clear communication and timely resolution of questions and concerns. Creativity, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills are key to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources team
  • Post job openings and conduct initial candidate screenings
    Assist with on-boarding and training, including New Hire Orientation and leadership development classes (manage attendee lists, prepare materials, and coordinate meals)
  • Prepare reports and process documentation related to recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and other HR activities
  • Support payroll processing by entering time sheets into ADP and compiling data for garnishments, insurance, and 401(k) deductions
  • Maintain data integrity in the payroll system and generate audit and analysis reports
  • Answer employee questions and help troubleshoot HR or payroll-related issues
  • Prepare various recurring and ad hoc HR and payroll reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual)
  • Recommend and help implement new HR processes and policy improvements
  • Draft HR-related correspondence and documentation

Education/Experience

  • 2-4 years of experience in an HR role required
  • Previous experience working with HRIS and/or applicant tracking systems
  • General knowledge of employment law and regulations
  • 1 year large volume multi-state payroll processing experience preferred
  • Prior ADP experience a plus
  • High School Diploma required
