The Human Resources (HR) Coordinator job entails providing guidance, support, and coordination in the consistent and effective application of policies, procedures, and practices of the HR department. The main responsibility of the HR Coordinator is to assist and support the team in every aspect of human resources.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree within Human Resources or Business Administration area or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience required.
  • Minimum 2 years previous work experience in Human Resources with strong computer and time management skills.
  • Experience in recruitment and onboarding is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Federal and State employment laws preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively over the phone and in person with internal and external customers to address any concerns and resolve conflict.
  • Ability to develop and effectively present technical HR information to management and/or public groups.
  • Ability to provide written documentation of policies and procedures, letters, status and statistical reports and memos.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on directed and self-initiated tasks.  
  • Collaborate effectively with the HR team to accomplish shared objectives.
  • Solid problem-solving and business acumen skills.
  • Provide a positive service-oriented attitude toward the firm, our employees, and the clients.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Supporting an employee-oriented organizational culture that emphasizes continuous improvement, teamwork, high performance, and quality.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all HR documents including but not limited to job descriptions, employee manual, and SOPs, are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Assists with recruitment efforts.
  • Ensures compliance with Federal and State laws.
  • Administer the performance review program.
  • Oversees and conducts records maintenance.
  • Assists in benefits administration, training, and other areas of HR as assigned.
  • Participate in committees and special projects.

 

LOCATION: Waipahu, HI

SALARY RANGE: $45,000 – $55,000 per year depending on experience
