JOB SUMMARY

The Human Resources Generalist serves as administrator for several critical human resources functions and workforce management, including recruiting, employee/labor relations, health and safety, compensation, benefits, training, diversity, employee engagement, leave and attendance tracking, payroll, and employee records. Facilitates and communicates organizational policies and programs and ensures labor law and regulatory compliance. Provides internal support and partnership to business lines to deliver required human resources. 


DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct full-cycle recruitment processes, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and coordinating the selection process. Collaborating with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and ensuring a smooth onboarding process for new employees.
  • Build and maintain positive employee relationships by addressing employee concerns, providing guidance on HR policies and procedures, and resolving conflicts. Promoting a positive work culture and fostering employee engagement.
  • Developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and practices in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Communicating and enforcing policies to ensure consistent application across the organization.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of performance management systems, including performance reviews, goal setting, and employee development plans. 
  • Supporting career development initiatives and succession planning.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, employment contracts, and performance evaluations. Ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and maintaining confidentiality of employee information.
  • Staying updated on employment laws, regulations, and industry best practices. Ensuring compliance with labor laws, equal employment opportunity (EEO) regulations, and other relevant legal requirements.
  • Participating in HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving HR processes, employee engagement, or organizational effectiveness. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive change and implement HR strategies.

  • Flexibility and the ability to embrace change are essential for success in this role.
  • Must be able to demonstrate trustworthiness, professionalism, and maintaining confidentiality are critical aspects of the job.
  • Proficiency in analyzing HR data, metrics, and trends is valuable. You should be comfortable working with HR systems and tools to gather, interpret, and present data that informs decision-making and supports HR initiatives.
  • Must have effective decision-making skills involve considering different perspectives, evaluating risks, and communicating decisions clearly.
  • Must have effective conflict resolution skills involve active listening, empathy, and the ability to find collaborative solutions. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration, human resources, psychology, or related field.
  • Must have minimum of 2 years in Human Resource Generalist role.
  • A solid understanding of HR principles, practices, and laws is essential. This includes knowledge of recruitment and selection, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, HR policies and procedures, employment law, and compliance.

  • Must have experience in building positive relationships with employees, managers, and external contacts.

  • Experience with collaboration, teamwork, and the ability to build consensus.
