Compensation: In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

Role Summary: As our HR Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting our team, enabling them to make a real difference in the lives of those we serve. You'll manage our HR initiatives in collaboration with the HR Director, ensuring our organization thrives as we work towards our vision.

  • Schedule: 9:00am-6:00pm, 9/80 work schedule, every other Friday off
  • Location: 155 N. Occidental Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90026

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day management of HR department functions and supervise HR team.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Human Resources to oversee the Human Resources Department and its departmental goals, as well as the execution of HR related agency wide initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain department procedures, such as safety programs and performance management, and ensure compliance with the handbook, laws, and contracts.
  • Monitor and oversee audits, ensuring our procedures are compliant with contract requirements, as well as labor law.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance and retirement plans. Ensure compliance with benefits regulations and manage the open enrollment process.
  • Manage employee relations and support HR Generalist in addressing employee issues, employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or equivalent business field, preferred.
  • At least 5+ experience in Human Resources with 3+ years of Human Resources management experience
  • PHR (Professionals in Human Resources) or SHRM (Society of Human Resources Management) certification is a preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
