Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and culture-focused Human Resources Manager to join the Cosm LA team on a temporary basis to cover a Maternity Leave for 6-7 months. This role will be employed directly by a 3rd party Employer of Record. You will act as a trusted leader and guide on various employee-related topics. Responsibilities:
- Be a point of contact for all questions regarding policies, procedures, benefits and programs.
- Conduct thorough investigations for all workplace complaints and provide reporting to Cosm HR Leadership team and the General Manager.
- Support employee engagement and culture work for all venue team members. Work closely with leadership, managers, and all team members to build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Work with our General Manager and department heads to review payroll and ensure we are in compliance daily, weekly and ready for our bi-weekly payroll. This role is not responsible for processing payroll, rather reviewing punches, etc.
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the employee life cycle, including onboarding (processing I-9’s & other new hire paperwork), promotions, job changes, leaves of absence, terminations, and the exit process.
- Work with our internal Recruiter and hiring managers to identify staffing needs, create job descriptions, and conduct interviews when needed.
- Be an expert in time management, meeting deadlines, responsiveness, positive tone, both verbally and in writing, and the ability to flex to the ever-changing needs of the business.
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Seeking 5+ years of progressive human resources experience in retail, hospitality, or venues (a plus, but not required).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Previous experience with Dayforce HR System, a plus.
The annualized base salary range for this position in California is $90,000 to $155,000. The base salary offered will factor in internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and relevant experience, among other factors.
