Summary/Objective
Puck Enterprises is a fast-growing company located in western Iowa. We are currently looking for the right individual to join our team as an Information Technology Support Engineer. This role will use a tremendous number of technologies with assistance from a third-party IT firm to manage in-house information technology functions for the Puck organization and subsidiaries. This includes coordinating, managing, and addressing day-to-day technology related activities of the organization. The right individual would use a client focused approach to resolve issues, while possessing a positive attitude and a willingness to learn new things.


 


Job Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Provide support and technical assistance to the Puck organization, including helpdesk related needs for end users.

  2. Responsible for monitoring, maintenance, and support of day-to-day IT systems, including telecommunications, servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, security cameras, peripherals, system backups, and office automation equipment.

  3. Must be able to setup and deploy new workstations and other IT needs for new hires.

  4. Manage and inventory all technology assets including hardware, software, and equipment.

  5. Maintain system for documenting, tracking, and executing employee on-boarding, off-boarding, and day-to-day network processes and tasks.

  6. Responsible for setting up and installing new equipment, including but not limited to computers, phones, cameras, door locks, printers, etc.

  7. Benchmark, analyze, report on and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the network infrastructure and systems.

  8. Work with supervisor and experienced outside IT firm to identify infrastructure update priorities and appropriate strategies to address such needs.

  9. Must be willing to learn new processes and methodologies related to information systems management and deployment.




Technical Skills and Requirements:



  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related focus, or equivalent experience

  • User provisioning

  • Active Directory/Azure AD – creating/modifying users and groups

  • Microsoft Office 365 Admin Portal

  • Ability to Create/Modify Group Policies

  • Ability to develop scripts to automate manual tasks

  • Ability to package software to be deployed to machines silently

  • Audio Visual / Conferencing technologies

  • Microsoft Windows Server Hyper-V and Vmware

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Display strong project management skills completing assignments in a timely fashion

  • Highly self-motivated, able to work with a team but also self-sufficient

  • Keep abreast of current and new technologies

Supervisory Responsibility


 This position has no supervisor responsibilities.


 


Work Environment


 This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.  The position requires working in all areas within the facility, including the manufacturing area.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work


 This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.  This position may occasionally require long hours and weekend work.


 


Travel


 Some travel will be required to the various Puck locations, including out-of-the area and overnight travel.
