Basic requirements/qualifications:
- High School Graduate or GED equivalency
- Must take and receive a passing a score on a Ramsay Journeyman Electrician exam.
- Must complete and pass all required pre-employment testing, including physical, drug screen and background check.
- Demonstrated competency in preventative, predictive and computerized electrical maintenance management systems
- 5 years or more industrial electrician experience
- Inspection and identification and knowledge of all electrical distribution systemsΒ
- Possess strong troubleshooting experience with single and three phase (120, 240, & 480v systems), industrial experience with DC & large horsepower units
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical systems including electric motors, electric controls, and scales.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on all instrumentation and automated components including calibrations as required
- Test & monitor electrical systems, equipment, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Monitors work done for adherence to the NEC requirements.
- Maintains appropriate service and repair records, (records necessary for MSHA).
- Follows blue prints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to conform to the building and safety codes.
- Analyze and responds safely and appropriately to routine and emergency calls for repairs and service
- Perform other duties as and when assigned
