SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Junior Practice Administrator to join our dynamic team, specializing in managing operations for the Emergency Room (ER) and Hospitalist group. This role involves supporting the Practice Administrator in overseeing the day-to-day administrative functions of the ER and Hospitalist group, ensuring smooth operations, efficient patient flow, and adherence to regulatory standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Day-to-day operations of the entire office.
  • Provides oversight for insurance, billing, and collections functions.
  • Maintains employee records and conducts 90 day and yearly performance reviews of all employees in the practice including physicians and midlevel’s in a safe, secure manner.
  • Works with accountant to manage Accounts Payable and other financial record keeping for the practice.
  • Maintains managed care contracts in a safe, secure manner.
  • Maintain all office insurance policies in a methodical, timely, and well- documented manner; conducts yearly bids for same to keep costs low.
  • Communicates important practice information to providers and staff in a timely manner in written and oral format.
  • Maintains practice records on-site and off-site.
  • Prepares and coordinates providers’ schedules.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Management Experience: One (1) year of medical office experience

SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:

  • Motivating, developing and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job. 
  • Understanding of the principles of sterile technique and operating room practice. 
  • Ability to delegate tasks as appropriate according to the state Nurse Practice Act and job descriptions. 
  • Continually work to improve supervisory skills. Understand business implications of decisions.
  • The ability to work concurrently on multiple projects with varying priorities, works well under pressure and within deadlines; give great attention to detail.
