We are currently seeking a Legal Assistant for our Columbia, SC office. Responsibilities include:



  • Keen attention to detail and organization.

  • Document Management, filing and analysis for large real estate transaction cases.

  • Commercial real estate letters and documents.

  • Experience in foreclosure, bankruptcy and other collection matters a plus.

  • Preparation of closing documents, assist with closing and post-closing coordination.

  • Scheduling, to include maintaining calendars, closings and contract deadlines.

  • Title review, insurance underwriting and policy experience.

  • Provide support to Attorneys as requested

  • Other duties as assigned


Candidates should have the following skills and/or attributes:



  • Three or more years' experience working in a law firm, preferred.

  • Ability to prioritize.

  • Knowledge of court and administrative hearing rules and procedures.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc...) and other legal software applications.

  • Professional demeanor, excellent communication and computer skills.

  • Must be flexible with the ability to handle a large caseload in a fast-paced environment.

  • Exceptional analytical skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Team member who participates in shared office duties and requirements.

  • Stable employment history.
