Summary:

The Machine Operator will operate and maintain equipment in a manufacturing environment to produce high-quality products. They will work closely with production team members, quality control personnel, and maintenance engineers to ensure that products are produced to the required specifications and standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain various types of manufacturing machinery and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure that products are produced to the required specifications.
  • Adjust equipment settings to optimize performance and meet production goals.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure maximum uptime.
  • Ensure that all safety procedures and regulations are followed.
  • Read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics and blueprints.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with production team members, quality control personnel, and maintenance engineers.
  • Participate in training programs to improve knowledge and skills related to machinery operation and maintenance.
  • Participate in continuous improvement programs to optimize production processes, reduce waste, and improve product quality.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience operating manufacturing machinery is desirable.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and to understand technical schematics and diagrams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must have a positive attitude, be proactive, and lead by example.
