Summary:
The Machine Operator will operate and maintain equipment in a manufacturing environment to produce high-quality products. They will work closely with production team members, quality control personnel, and maintenance engineers to ensure that products are produced to the required specifications and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain various types of manufacturing machinery and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Monitor production processes to ensure that products are produced to the required specifications.
- Adjust equipment settings to optimize performance and meet production goals.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure maximum uptime.
- Ensure that all safety procedures and regulations are followed.
- Read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics and blueprints.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with production team members, quality control personnel, and maintenance engineers.
- Participate in training programs to improve knowledge and skills related to machinery operation and maintenance.
- Participate in continuous improvement programs to optimize production processes, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
- Previous experience operating manufacturing machinery is desirable.
- Good mechanical aptitude and to understand technical schematics and diagrams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Must have a positive attitude, be proactive, and lead by example.
