Minimum Qualifications


Minimum Education


High School Diploma or Equivalent required.


Required Skills


Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.


Requires flexibility in scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns including week-ends and holidays to insure appropriateness and continuity of care for the patients of Sovah Health Danville


Fulfills other assigned responsibilities, duties and tasks of them not specifically listed within this job description and as directed by employee’s supervisor.


Interpreting mechanical drawings, plans and building layouts, plumbing and wastewater systems, medical gas systems, and associated equipment.


Licenses:


Journeyman or Masters required. Must have valid driver’s license and good driving record.


Minimum Work Experience


Minimum 20 years in plumbing and wastewater distribution systems and related equipment repair in lieu of Journeyman or Masters.

Position Summary


 


Sovah Health is looking for the ideal candidate who will maintain all aspects of plumbing to include installation and repairs drain lines, supply lines and fixtures.


 


·         Directs the work of the plumbing shop.


·         Install, maintain, repair and modify all new and existing plumbing lines, fixtures, and related equipment.


·         Maintain all waste disposal equipment and storm sewer distribution systems.


·         Maintains Medical Gas distribution systems and related equipment.


·         Assist in repairs of steam distribution and return systems and any other piping system throughout complex.


·         Collect and test all water and sewer samples required by regulatory authorities.


·         Pick up material and supplies from local vendors.


·         Order all material and supplies for stock and special project as needed.


·         Schedule work and repairs to systems and equipment as needed.


·         Make repairs to pumps and related equipment.


·         Perform preventative maintenance on all tools, equipment, plumbing and sewer systems.


·         Install all plumbing and medical gas piping systems required by renovation projects.


·         Keeps accurate and legible record of all sewer samples.


·         Maintains all records required by the City of Danville Water Department on back flows.


·         Maintains all records required on sprinkler valves and Red Tag System.


·         Maintains accurate records of repairs, pm’s, etc.
