We’re looking for an application engineer to join our mobile systems division that will work with the selling team to meet our customer’s requirements quickly and accurately.

Job Description and Essential Responsibilities:
- Primary Responsibility is to support the pre & postproduction engineering process for the municipal snow & ice systems division.
- Applies product and system knowledge to ensure form, fit, and function are properly executed, and customer expectations are met
- Reviews system orders from the selling team and creates accurate bills of materials (B.O.M.)
- Ensures documentation and assembly process goes smoothly through all stages of order fulfillment
- Assist in product design engineering to support targeted business growth and development. This includes new design layouts, revisions to existing products, etc.
- Must be able to identify, learn, document, and retain advanced product and system knowledge
- Understand and troubleshoot complex electro-hydraulic systems with customers and sales team via phone/email
- Assembles prototypes and assists the design engineering team with product function testing
- Assist the sales team with technical questions, drawings, and special requests
- Reads, interprets, and creates complex hydraulic and electrical schematics
- Visualizes and troubleshoot complex mobile systems using information gathered over the phone
- Logging field calls and taking notes so that call data can be reviewed
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Physics or related field OR Associates Degree in Fluid Power Technology/Mechatronics/Robotics with relevant job experience
- Experience: 0-5yrs. We encourage applicants with entry-level experience to apply
- Experience with fluid power technology and mobile machine controls
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects concurrently
- Able to apply technical problem-solving skills and knowledge to make sound decisions under pressure
- Applicant should be mechanically inclined
- Applicant should be familiar with basic hand tools (Wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, etc)
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Experience with SolidWorks 3D Modeling
- Competent with Microsoft Office - Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Strong technical writing skills
- Travel: Seasonal travel up to 25% when required. Travel would be infrequent for this position; however, the ideal candidate would be able to travel within North America when required
- Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to rent a car
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs
- Ability to climb into and under on-highway trucks
- Able to collaborate well with customers, vendors, and internal associates
- Must be able to regularly attend in-person meetings at the Minneapolis headquarters
