Description

This role is remote/hybrid with the need to travel to Baton Rouge, LA on a frequent basis.


The Project Manager will be in charge of leading the design and construction of affordable housing, mixed-use communities, special projects, managing our third-party design partners, and coordinating with our Development team. Overseeing multiple projects simultaneously, which vary in scale and complexity this role will also act as an owner's rep during construction, overseeing all aspects of assigned construction and/or special projects that includes contract administration, procurement, document management, financial and risk management, scheduling, and quality control as necessary to support field operations from start-up to completion.


  • Lead and manage affordable housing development projects in all aspects as it relates to design and construction.
  • Collaborate with real estate development team to define project requirements, project delivery, cost estimate and budget, schedule and milestones, quality control, and risk identification.
  • Review local zoning and code requirements during initial site planning and feasibility studies.
  • Write and distribute RFQs and RFPs, coordinate consultant interviews, and select third-party consultants.
  • Review project scope with 3rd party consultants, architects and GCs.
  • Manage and lead team of Architects, Engineers, General Contractors, and other third-party consultants through the design process.
  • Supervise, prepare, and coordinate architectural documents for permit submittal and construction.
  • Provide construction management oversight and coordination while the project is under construction.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints.
  • Monitor and address project progress and resolving any issues or delays.
  • Lead project meetings, providing updates to clients and internal teams.
  • Be a team leader with strong future thinking skills.
  • Understand public and private construction processes.
  • Perform project planning and budget control.
  • Manage subcontractor, vendors and milestones.
  • Possess the ability to adapt and problem solve.
  • Conduct site visits.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements
  • Affordable Housing experience preferred but not required.
  • 5+ years experience as a project manager or construction manager on multifamily and/or commercial projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related curriculum or equivalent experience.
  • Track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong business acumen in project planning and management.
  • Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with project management software and tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and responsibilities efficiently and with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to details, strong organizational skills, and exceptional problem-solving ability.
  • Proficient at not only analyzing information, but also drawing appropriate conclusions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong relevant computer skills, including efficient use of Excel, PowerPoint, and other graphic design programs.
  • High level of personal integrity and alignment with company values.
