Job Summary: 

Network Engineer supporting the CDC MTS Program

Responsibilities:  

• Technical Lead for the CDC DAS. This employee manages all activities related to the daily operations of the CDC DAS.
• Assists CDC leadership with improving the capabilities of CDC’s DAS technologies to optimize performance and incorporate new technologies effectively and in a cost-effective manner.
• Operates and monitors CDC’s DAS and associated equipment (e.g., remotes, head end Bi-Directional Amplifiers and Base Transceiver Stations).
• Performs routine maintenance in accordance with best practices and as specified in Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) documentation with its required or recommended schedules on all DAS components.
• As a TL, the Network Engineer – SME is responsible for managing the inventory.
• Interfaces with the PM for overall direction and coordinates with the Telecom, UC, and cabling lead on issue resolution or projects that involve each or all the work areas.
• Coordinates and resolves user issues from the CDC Help Desk daily.
