The Network Engineer III is responsible for the complex infrastructure coding of WellSky’s data center and cloud platforms. This position should work seamlessly with other functions in Engineering to collaborate and optimize our infrastructure systems.
A day in the life!
You will be responsible for the following:
- Design, Implement, and Support Network Infrastructure: Develop and implement network solutions to meet the company’s business objectives.
Design scalable, reliable, and secure LAN/WAN infrastructure.
Implement, configure, and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Network Monitoring and Optimization: Perform regular network performance assessments and tune network components for optimal performance.
Identify potential bottlenecks and propose solutions to improve performance and reliability. Conduct network capacity planning and support future growth.
- Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve complex network issues, including outages and performance degradation.
Collaborate with other IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve network and system issues.
- Security and Compliance: Implement and manage security policies across the network to safeguard data and systems.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations (such as PCI, GDPR, HIPAA) and internal security standards.
Regularly review network security and make necessary updates to firewalls, VPNs, and other security devices.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of network infrastructure, configurations, and procedures.
Prepare detailed reports on network performance, uptime, and security.
Provide regular updates and recommendations to IT management regarding network performance, risks, and future needs.
- Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Work closely with third-party vendors and service providers to ensure seamless integration and operation of network solutions.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies and products to improve the company’s network infrastructure.

Required Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant work experience
- 2-4 years related work experience
- Palo Alto and Cisco experience
Do you stand above the rest?
Preferred Experience:
- F5 and NetScaler experience preferred
- Healthcare industry experience
