Job Description Summary

The Night Auditor is responsible for consistently delivering results that contribute to the mission and overall success of the hotel. The Night Auditor will perform Cashier and Guest Service Agent duties.

Job Description

Key Job Functions

  • Know duties of front desk, PBX and night auditor as outlined in the appropriate job descriptions
  • Reconcile and complete all daily front desk cashier work
  • Run final trial balance to post rooms and close day
  • Run accounts receivable reports
  • Proof next day reports for front office, housekeeping, sales and executive office as required
  • Have a complete working knowledge of POS and PMS
  • Perform duties with minimum direction from supervisor
  • Provide guest with quick, pleasant and efficient service
  • Follow established departmental and hotel policies
  • Aware of Hotel's personal service program and participate actively in it
  • Build solid relationship with your Colleagues
  • Treat colleagues with respect and dignity
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. The employee is expected to work in other areas of the hotel when needed to assist operations to perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job description.

  • You will be passionate and truly engaged in taking care of our guests,  recognizing individual guests and anticipating their unique needs in order to exceed their expectations

Qualifications and Skills

A candidate for this position must possess the following applicable knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to demonstrate and provide applicable examples to support his/her competency.

  • Track record of delivering exceptional guest or client experience
  • Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time for training and safety purposes, and when interacting with guests and associates
  • Strong communication skills
  • Appropriate professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to satisfactorily operate computers, familiarity with Microsoft Office/OPERA and/or willingness to learn new software systems
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions and percentages
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

Education and/or Experience

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
