Ashley HomeStore, the #1 Mattress and Furniture retailer in North America, has an immediate opening for an Onboarding Specialist.  The ideal candidate will act as the single point of contact for all managers through the onboarding process, serving as an end to end liaison. This includes proactive outreach and support for the hiring manager, Talent Acquisition Specialists, HR team, and the new hire to ensure an efficient and effective onboarding process.


** Compensation for this role is $19-$21 hourly, contingent upon experience.**

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Responsible for the timely and correct onboarding of employees, from offer creation to registration of new employees in HRIS system

  • Identifies issues with processes and create a plan to resolve the issues

  • Works closely with the Talent Acquisition Coordinators to ensure a positive onboarding experience for new employees

  • Provides support to new employees through orientation and training periods

  • Follows up with new employees and managers to proactively identify concerns and implement/recommend solutions

  • Performs I-9 audits and ensures all reverifications are done timely

  • Provides reports and metrics as requested

  • Performs other related duties as assigned, essential or otherwise.

  • Other duties as assigned.


EXPERIENCE:



  • Three years’ experience as an HR Onboarding Specialist or equivalent HR role

  • Experience with Ultimate Software system preferred

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

  • Ability to plan and control projects

  • Excellent communication skills/ability to interact with employees on all levels

  • Collaborate with management to develop products and services

  • Strong technical skills

  • Outstanding organizational ability, trustworthy, and great attention to detail


EDUCATION:



  • HS Diploma required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent of education and experience will be considered in lieu of degree
