As an Outside Sales Representative, you will have the opportunity to showcase your ability to call on and provide services to Wholesale and non-wholesale customers.  Other duties to include promoting and advancing company marketing/sales programs as appropriate and requested and developing and creating new opportunities for sales through cold calls of new customers and accounts. 

JOB DUTIES:

  • Call on customers per the schedule/strategy created with the Store Manager or other members of the management team
  • Serve retail and wholesale customers to make Auto Value the first call for parts 
  • Maintain awareness and knowledge of current sales and sales targets
  • Conduct sales transactions with adherence to store/company policies and procedures
  • Complete all related reports accurately and on time
  • Participate in training programs, learning about our products, our programs and our customers
  • Represent Auto Value in a professional and positive manner
  • Assist other store team members as needed

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of three years of related experience and must have a thorough knowledge of the auto parts business and sales approaches
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all employees as well as customers, vendors and visitors  
  • Ability to function in a stressful environment, under substantial time pressure 
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Knowledge of desktop computer programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
