Paralegals are responsible for researching and preparing cases for court. This individual provides outstanding customer service to partnering agencies and Nebraska families. When hiring for this position, we prefer candidates who have completed a paralegal studies program.
Essential Job Requirements
Drafts legal pleadings, motions and supporting documents for court filings
Interviews necessary parties in preparation for filings and hearing
Regulars communication with parties and stakeholders
Fact check documents to ensure reliable and accurate information
Assist with the management of caseload including timelines and deadlines
Legal research
Coordinates discovery and follow up
Schedules hearings and trial dates
Assists attorney in court when needed
Regular and timely attendance
Other duties as assigned
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree or Paralegal Certificate is required
Required Experience
Legal experience in domestic relations law is desired
