What we’re looking for:

Our Landlord Action Team is one of the UK’s best-known eviction and housing law specialists and as a Paralegal you will be assisting the legal team with everyday administrative responsibilities, therefore attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment is a must.

You’ll be working closely with our Caseworkers; so you’ll be a natural at working in a team, cooperating with others and building effective working relationships.‍

As a Paralegal, you’ll be contacting clients, providing updates and answering enquiries, so we need people who are passionate about delivering excellent customer service. This opportunity will provide you with the chance to learn new systems and see what it’s like to work in a busy legal environment, so a can-do attitude is essential.

Some of the things you'll get up to:

  • Opening post, scanning and uploading to the correct files using the case management system
  • Managing all client enquiries in line with service level agreements
  • Maintaining contact with clients throughout the legal process
  • Monitoring internal mailboxes, responding and forwarding emails to the correct person(s) when needed and recording on the case management system
  • Carrying out billing and invoicing tasks  
  • Using our case management system to carry out administrative tasks and record information
  • Attending legal seminars and events on behalf of Landlord Action
  • Carrying out administrative duties requested by the Management Team

We’d like you to have:

  • An excellent level of English, together with strong numerical and communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Attention to detail ensuring that high standards of quality are consistently maintained
  • Drive and self-determination with the ability to find and implement solutions to problems
  • Ability to plan and organise making effective use of time and resources
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Excel, Word and PowerPoint and the ability to learn new systems and processes as required
