Description

The Payroll Administrator is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions for the company. This role plays a critical part in enhancing HR operational effectiveness through the integration of processes, systems, and AI tools. The Payroll Administrator will manage payroll data, reconciliation, and the resolution of discrepancies, while ensuring compliance with all payroll regulations. Additionally, this position supports payroll-related inquiries and contributes to continuous improvement in payroll operations by leveraging technology and optimizing processes.


 


Key Responsibilities



  • Manage the end-to-end payroll process for employees, ensuring seamless integration with HR systems and AI tools to optimize efficiency.

  • Ensure timely and accurate payment of wages, utilizing automated systems and processes to reduce errors and improve payroll delivery.

  • Maintain and update payroll records and employee information, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality across digital platforms.

  • Prepare and process wage garnishments, child support orders, and other statutory deductions in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, ensuring accurate and timely execution.

  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and issues through effective communication and data analysis, ensuring swift resolution and employee satisfaction.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards by continuously monitoring and updating payroll processes and systems.

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and optimization of payroll policies and procedures, focusing on operational effectiveness and leveraging AI-driven insights.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.   


 


Job Requirements


Education



  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.


Experience



  • At least 1-3 years of experience in payroll or a related field.


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: 



  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is highly desirable.


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 



  • In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, wage and hour laws, and tax regulations, with the ability to ensure compliance and accuracy.

  • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., Oracle Cloud HCM) and HR management systems, with experience in system integration and automation tools to optimize processes.

  • Familiarity with AI tools and technologies that support payroll functions, such as automation for data entry, report generation, and error detection.

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret payroll data, identify trends, and resolve discrepancies effectively.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage complex payroll processes and ensure error-free payroll runs.

  • Problem-solving abilities to quickly address payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries, using data-driven insights and effective communication.

  • Organizational skills to manage multiple payroll schedules and deadlines, while maintaining clear records and documentation.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with employees, management, and external stakeholders about payroll issues, policies, and regulations.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with HR, Finance, and IT teams to implement payroll solutions that improve operational effectiveness.

  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying up to date on payroll laws, technology advancements, and HR best practices.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to maintain a positive, professional attitude and work well in a team-oriented setting.
