Responsible for the proper recording and reporting of the financial transactions of the manufacturing plant, as well as analyzing and investigating any variances from expected results.
1. Monitoring of standard costs and re-rolling where appropriate.
2. Analyze and investigate production variances to include scrap, rework, and other variances from standard.
3. Completion of relevant month-end closing process duties to include account reconciliations, reporting, analyses, and preparation and posting of journal entries as required.
4. Analyze and report on inventory, including tracking of cycle count results
5. Assist VP of Finance in gathering information required to prepare and publish monthly financial statements.
6. Prepare, and sales and use tax returns.
7. Assist with preparation of Prepare year-end audit schedules and any other schedules as required.
8. Assist VP of Finance with compilation of Budgets and Forecasts
9. Administer existing financial policies and procedures and assist in the development of new processes, policies and procedures
10. Assist and advise VP of Finance and perform selected duties in his/her absence.
11. Provide guidance to AR / AP Accountant when appropriate
12. Assist with other financial duties as needed.
BS in Accounting or equivalent and two years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including advanced Excel skills.
Experience working with an advanced ERP system is a plus. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
