Basic Function:

Maintenance technician is a position within Line Operations of C&W Services who will report directly to the account manager. The incumbent is responsible for performing general maintenance in a college campus setting.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Prior experience in the maintenance field

Ability and willingness to work off-hours, evenings, weekends, and nights if needed

Must be able to work alone and with other employees

Valid driver’s license (this is non-negotiable)

Knowledge of plumbing and HVAC preferred

 

Responsibilities — Tasks — Duties

The technician reports to the Account Manager and is responsible for, but not limited to, the following activities:

  • Maintains job performance standards, along with a professional, safe, and clean environment
  • Maintains proper security procedures.
  • Repair, replace, and maintain building equipment and assets (windows, doors, furniture, etc.)
  • Replace ceiling tiles
  • Perform moves of varied sizes and weights (chairs, packages, desks, etc.)
  • Track and maintain proper hours and notes within the account’s work order system
  • General knowledge of building maintenance and operations (HVAC, plumbing, etc.)
  • Performs other duties as required (snow removal, special projects, events, etc.)
  • Be on-call on a rotating basis and respond to emergencies when called upon

Working Conditions:

Maintenance technicians work mostly indoors but will be required to perform the occasional outdoor duties as well. Proper PPE and uniforms will be supplied by site management.
