Job Description:

Responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining all district facilities’ plumbing systems. This includes plumbing fixtures, water lines, and sewer lines. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele. Essential Physical Requirements: • Constant lifting five (5) to twenty (20) pounds • Frequent lifting twenty (20) to fifty (50) pounds • Frequent lifting over fifty (50) pounds • Constant bending, squatting, standing, reaching, sitting, walking, climbing, kneeling, crawling, stooping, repetitive motions • Frequent overhead work

    

Position Specific Information (if Applicable):

Four weeks on-call required annually.

    

Responsibilities:


--- Ensure applicable plumbing codes and regulatory requirements are met.


--- Test, repair, install, record backflow and cross connection devices.


--- Perform as subject matter expert and interface with project coordinators, engineers, general contractors, and sub-contractors on project design, development and site visits.


--- Perform a variety of contracting and purchasing related tasks within trade or, in support of, department buyers, including identifying the scope and requirements of anticipated projects, identifying and contacting suppliers and contractors, conducting pre-bid walk-through and/or conferences, performing quality control inspections, inspecting delivered products and certifying completed work.


--- Provide estimates for time and materials for plumbing related projects upon request from district sites, Maintenance Leads, Maintenance Manager.


--- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.


--- Install, inspect, repair, and remodel plumbing systems, fixtures, and/or hardware for all district buildings.


--- Repair and up keep of all potable water supply and distribution pipes and piping; all fixtures and traps; all drainage and vent pipes; all water conditioning appliances connected to the potable water system; all building drains, including their respective joints and connections, devices, receptacles, and appurtenances.


--- Unplug toilet, sink, floor drains, roof drains, lavatory, and main sewer lines.


--- Inspect, install, repair, maintain domestic water heaters and boilers.


--- Recommend to supervisor repair needs to accomplish and eliminate ongoing and future repairs.


--- Repair or replace old water lines, domestic recirculation lines, and sewer lines.


--- Assist other trades, i.e. exterior operation and roofing with piping and repair issues.

    

Certifications:

Certification in Backflow & Cross Connection Devices - Colorado, First AId and CPR Certification - Colorado, Masters Plumbing License - Colorado

Full Salary Range:

$26.96 USD - $45.29 USD Hourly
  • All salary amounts listed above are based on a full-time (1.0) FTE. If applicable, part-time salaries will be prorated according to the assigned FTE.
