PAY AND BENEFITS
- Starting salary minimum $23.570 per hour
- $850 annual clothing allowance

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Citizen of the United States (MUST UPLOAD BIRTH CERTIFICATE)
- Meet qualifications in City of Ashland Ordinance #116, 2024
- Must be 21 years of age
- High school graduate or GED (MUST UPLOAD DIPLOMA/GED)
- Valid driver’s license (MUST UPLOAD VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE)
- No prior felony
Must acquire and maintain certification as a Kentucky peace officer under the provisions of KRS 15.382 and 15.402; must complete 40 hours of training annually; must qualify on the Ashland Police Department weapons qualification course with the handgun, shotgun, and any other weapon assigned to or approved for the office to carry as set forth in General Order titled “Weapons Qualification Requirements”; must maintain current certification on First Aid, AED, and CPR; must possess and maintain a valid Kentucky drivers’ license as a condition of continued employment in this class.
